My response to the Massport ESPR

Massport recently released its latest Logan Airport Environmental Status and Planning Report (ESPR). What concerns me about this document is that the modeled projections of passenger and flight activity are way off target. This means that today, we are dealing with far greater airport impacts than anticipated. From noise and air pollution to traffic, East Boston deserves to have airport impacts adequately mitigated. When actual growth outpaces modeled growth, as is the case here, a real conversation must be had about additional mitigation measures that offset those impacts. Given the data in the ESPR, Massport can and should do better.
