Environmental Justice Communities Need Representation on the New MBTA Board

This month, I joined Karen Y. Chen, Executive Director of the Chinese Progressive Association, and Maria Belén Power, Associate Executive Director of GreenRoots, to author an op-ed in Commonwealth Magazine in support of adding a representative from an environmental justice community to the new MBTA Oversight Board. Environmental justice communities rely on transit the most. They deserve to have a seat at the table so that we can have a transit system that works for all. I’m proud to stand with the Public Transit – Public Good Coalition in support of this mission. Read our op-ed here.
